Jocelyn Boer graduated high school in 2011 after which she attended a year at SVU.
After coming home, Sister Ginger felt she didn't know what the next chapter would be. She never felt sure to return back to SVU or to continue her education else where. Nothing felt right. Until the general conference session in October of 2012 when it was announced that worthy LDS sister's would now be able to serve a mission at the age of 19 instead of 21. Having prepared to receive answers to her prayers and problems, Sister Ginger felt the power of the Spirit overwhelm her and knew this is what she was supposed to do. This was her answer. She quickly took the necessary steps into completing her mission papers and anxiously waited for her calling from the Lord.
After having received her call to the San Jose Costa Rica mission, Sister Ginger prepared herself for the 18 months to come serving the Lord. She entered the MTC on April 3rd 2013. She is loved and missed, but we know she is doing the Lord's will and with a full heart of love and a testimony of the Gospel.
