MY LANTA. I swear, that NEVER AGAIN in MY LIFE. will I
plan a wedding. NEVER. Not even my own, cause it's the MOST stressful
thing EVER. And it wasn't even a big deal! It's like, here pay the
lawyer, sign a paper, and bam, your married. BUT NO. Let me tell you
about my week....so, the lady that got baptized this week, she had to
get married, so she decided she would sell those mantle covers that
you sew, with your hands, (if I knew how to spell, I would put the
real word, but, salado) anyways, we were like, hey relief society,
support us, and they were like, ok sweet I want one... so this lady,
made 14 of them. Guess how many people who signed up to buy one,
actually bought one? 4. RECORD. Yeah, so we were running around town,
THE DAY OF, trying to find members to buy them. AND, this lady was
like, do this, do that, and I'm like lady, you are not even doing the
things you need to do so that you can get married and baptized, how
can you expect us to do EVERYTHING?!?! Well, she expected us to do
everything.... and, to make it all worse the neighborhood was makin up
gossip about crap that she did in the past. And her boyfriend was
like, nope not getting married now. SATAN WORKS HARD when we are
trying to do the right thing... but we had a long, head chopping, talk
with him about the law of chastity and he was like ok fine... ok, so
then, we had to make rice with chicken, let me tell ya, they make it
more complicated than it needs to be, it's more than rice with chicken.
It made everybody sick, cause my comp thought she knew how to make
it. Hahahahaha nope, didn't turn out that way. The elders were
telling us that they would help us out, so we were waiting for them,
and started on our own, they never showed up. That's what ya get for
expecting help from elders. Can't ever trust em. haha nah, but we only
had 2ish hours to get everything ready, and when we finallly got to
the church, the wedding ended, and they were starting the baptisms.
hahaha so much for all that hard work right? Nahhh it was good, we saw
her get baptized, and her husband was like, when is it my turn? hahaha
so we have been teaching him as well:) Miracles happen.
After the baptism, we celebrated Elder Rubios birthday, one of our zone leaders.
We ate a lot of cake, we had a HUGE bucket full of koolaid, and I was
like, hey, happy birthday, and poured a little bit on them, and he was
like, I SWEAR I WILL HUG YOU IF YOU DO IT. hahaah so funny, but his
comp ended up dumping the whole thing on him, so missed out on that
hug. hahaah thank goodness... but then they had a crazy water fight,
and it reminded me of when the famdamily has one everytime we get
together. Hahah it was a good stress reliever.. but the cleaning lady
wanted to kill us... don't worry we cleaned it all up.
One thing that made me happy, we went into a bread store, because my
comp was like, that looks good, so we started talking to the lady that
was working, and come to find out she met with the missionaries before
and was like why don't you come visit me sometime? so we were like ok
sweet, and then she gave us free bread. #thatswhatsup
So we had a SICK zone reunion (and I think its meeting in english, not
reunion) anyways, we talked about the BOM and how we should not be
afraid to use it with people because it is THE KEYSTONE of our
religion, and it is the most correct book, and we can have a better
relationship with God with this book. I have a HUUUUGGGEEEE testimony
of the BOM its so powerful and I can't believe how blessed we are to be
the only ones that have this book. Share it with people ok?? Thanks.
I honestly love our zone leaders, they asked us for our fav
scripture from the BOM and read them ALL, and made an effort to talk
about them, and they talked about how our verses made an impact on
them. It's great to know that our leaders actually care about us and
how they want to help us. #zoneguanacaste. where its at :)
So just to share a couple quotes and stuff
ALMA 26:12. honestly, this scripture strengthens my testimony. read it.
And, just to remind erry body out there, and it's a little knife to the
chest for those missionaries, "the kingdom of God is more important
than your country" and "obey, and if there is time after, you can
think why"
Obedience. just do it.
